Safe Haven!

Ok, so over the last few weeks ive become a little addicted to novels by Nicholas Sparks. I wanted to get back into reading, so decided to read the books which inspired some of my favorite films. The first book was A Walk To Remember. From then on ive just gotten more and more into books by Nicholas Sparks  Ive so far read 4, and have a list of the next ones to buy. (That means a shopping trip tomorrow to the local bookstore). The last one i read (finished yesterday and couldn't put it down), was Safe Haven. Which incidentally is the next of his films released.
Plot Summary on Safe Haven:

When a mysterious young woman named Katie appears in the small North Carolina town of Southport, her sudden arrival raises questions about her past. Beautiful yet self-effacing, Katie seems determined to avoid forming personal ties until a series of events draws her into two reluctant relationships: one with Alex, a widowed store owner with a kind heart and two young children; and another with her plainspoken single neighbor, Jo. Despite her reservations, Katie slowly begins to let down her guard, putting down roots in the close-knit community and becoming increasingly attached to Alex and his family.
But even as Katie begins to fall in love, she struggles with the dark secret that still haunts and terrifies her . . . a past that set her on a fearful, shattering journey across the country, to the sheltered oasis of Southport. With Jo’s empathic and stubborn support, Katie eventually realizes that she must choose between a life of transient safety and one of riskier rewards . . . and that in the darkest hour, love is the only true safe haven.    (taken from the Nicholas Sparks Website
The movie is released on Valentines Day (Feb 14th) in North America, and 1st March here in the UK.
Here is the official trailer, and movie soundtrack by Colbie Callait and Gavin DeGraw.

Snow!!

As you may have seen in the news, Britain has been smothered with snow this week; we are literally now a white blanket on any ariel maps. Living in the inner city, we aren't usually affected that bad, but this time we had around 4-5 inches. Now most people hate it, and my friends will probably kill me for saying this, but i absolutely love it. I think its beautiful. When snow is falling there is something calming and poetic about it. There is nothing better than feeling that crunch beneath your feet, and having a good snowball fight with your friends (especially when you hit them with a facial shot-result). Don't get me wrong, its horrible when it turns to ice, but can we not just enjoy the snow? A walk in the snow, with my earphones in, is one of the most therapeutic things. Tiny snowflakes look like glitter, and the sparkle from the ground is mesmerizing.

Airports close, and roads are empty. We get snow every year, and we usually see it coming so why do people not take more precautions? Get yourself some snow boots (or snow spikes) and put some salt outside your door, and it should affect you too much.

My two dogs seemed to like to too. The were nose-diving into it, and rolling around. Well, my chihuahua was making snow tunnels because most of it was taller than she was. This was the perfect time to make a snowman (who was hungry). My first one...and I'm almost 20 years old. Mostly i think it gives you some of the most stunning photographs, almost as good to put on a postcard. So i thought i would take some time to share a few with you. Here are a few of my favorites....and remember folks.... don't eat yellow snow! :)
If you have any pretty snowy pics please tweet me @MusicMe93
