Bitten By The Baking Bug!

So as it seems I've been bitten by the baking bug. This year especially, I've tried my hand at a few different baking recipes, but lately I've been getting more and more inventive. As well as baking I have tried more savoury recipes and so far, no-one has gotten food poisoning from my cooking. I actually have a lot of fun, (and aside from my dog trying desperately to get the cream) I'm getting rather speedy at it. Except piping, that seems to be the bane of my existence at the moment. Here are a few my masterpieces (they might not be the prettiest, but they sure are are yummy.)
This is a chocolate sponge surprise, piped with whipped cream.(The surprise is that under the top layer of cream, there is a mint chocolate layer :D)

Mini vanilla cupcakes, with a vanilla butter-cream topping and little chocolate and pink sweet balls.

If anyone has any interesting recipes, or pictures of what they have baked, please tweet me @MusicMe93.

Remember, Remember...

Happy Bonfire night. (Belated, because Bonfire night was actually last night).

I would have posted this last night, but I was too busy walking the dog and then hiding under my quilt. I don't know about any of you, but I absolutely hate the things. They are one of my biggest fears. So last night, the iPod (complete with DJ earphones) was on from about 4.30 until 12. I took the dog out for a walk, which was a trial in itself. He also doesn't like them, but he's calmer out walking in them, than he is when he hears them from inside. While i think that sometimes they can be pretty and nice to see children enjoying, I see more danger than good. Plus they are expensive too, for something that goes "BOOM" once, and scares the living daylights out of people. However saying that, i am partial to a Catherine Wheel. Anyway, i hate fireworks and its a fear yet to be conquered. I can however, condone them on New Years Eve, that's when a celebration is actually really needed. Fresh starts and all that.

While I was out, I saw something quite rare. No, it wasn't a big-foot  I saw kids actually playing and interacting with the police. You may think that's normal, but in this area, its quite an unusual thing.Kids from about 6-14 were playing dodge-ball with the police. It was refreshing to watch. That was until they locked up the park, and everyone had to go home.

Explosions actually started on Saturday, when I went to see Skyfall. It was my first James Bond film, and it was certainly a good film. We went in at 2:30 and got out at 5:30 and every minute of it was exciting. I wont ruin the story for anyone who hasn't seen it, but you should, its not one to be missed, and I'm looking forward to getting the other DVD's. Lots of people also moaned at what a let down the theme tune was. They obviously hadn't seen the film. The song actually fits perfectly and you have to see the film to understand why all the elements that are in the song are there. 8/10. Well done 007.

I feel young, for once!

So, yesterday i decided to clear out a cupboard of all the old things in there, and actually have some space to put some new things. Im amongst the "stuff" in there were a number of little treasures.

The cupboard was more like a time capsule, which for once made me feel young! It was like a time portal back to when VCR video tapes and cassette tapes were still playable, and where the popular norm.
One video tape that i found instilled a overwhelming sense of nostalgia in me. My, oh, my, i found a recording of the very first Pokemon movie. Its one of them films (that sadly) no matter how old i get, i will still cry and the ending between Ash and Pikachu. I just hope my dogs would be that loyal to me. (All the dog got from that cupboard was the elf costume he wore last christmas.)

Stuffed at the back, were a collection of spice jars. All decorated little houses where each individual spice has its place. In the box was also a picture of them lined up in a little street on the shelf where they used to be kept. Those were the days.

These things were lovely, however they were not my favourite find. That was taken by a cassette tape stuffed in the back. This particular tape is older than i am, by around 12 years. It was "Now, thats what i call music 6". Its filled with songs that ive never heard of, but from the looks of the titles, they are proper 80's tracks. Back when music wasn't as predictable as it can be now.

Oh those must have been the good old days. I still have another cupboard to do. How fun thats going to be!

Hi there folks!!

So, here we are again!

Lately i've been bored, and there hasn't really been anywhere I can have a rant, or put my thoughts down and make sense of them, without seeming completely crazy.

Quite a few things that I want to write in my blog. From music and film, to tattoos, or just general debates or thoughts on life.

We learn new things everyday, and learn from out mistakes, we live our lives by Trial and Error. So whether they are random, serious or just plain funny, I thought I'd use my boredom to share it with you all.
